Steam Summer Getaway Sale: Day 11, Encore Day
Active: July 11th, 2013 – July 22nd, 2013
As with every summer there comes a time when you’re supposed to spend your money on ice cream and vacation-stuff but find yourself at the mercy of a greater power. This year is no different, as the Steam Summer Sale is here, title Summer Getaway Sale.
This year the meta-game is card-collecting, which has been a thing on Steam for a short while. To boost your card-library through other means than actually playing a bunch of games you can just pick up cards by making selected purchases from the daily offers.
The Daily Deals will stand for 24 hours, CET 19:00 – 19:00, and this time the offers stand for only 24 hours, as it’s the final day. But there’s still the Community’s Choice, which circulates every eight hours. Why the name? Because the community gets to pick which title the deal is going to include. By voting on one of three titles in the Community’s Choice box you get to help decide which of the listed games get the listed discount. Simple, yeah? There’s also a chance that you’ll win some Trading Cards as a bonus, so make sure you vote every 8 hours. Along with that you also get Flash Deals that change every 8h as well.
Check back every day for the new deals.
Day 11 Deals, Encore Day:
- Bioshock Infinite
- Civilzation V
- Torchlight II
- The Walking Dead
- Tomb Raider
- Skyrim: Legendary Edition
- Borderlands 2
- Kerbal Space Program
- Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
So this is the day where you’re supposed to pick up those offers you missed while yesterdays deals stay the rest of their remaining 24 hours. The fact that Torchlight II is back on the front page just tells us that it’s time we visit the Torchlight franchise really soon. Kerbal Space Progam is still an Early Access, meaning we won’t touch it yet. And for some reason we have no interest in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare; perhaps we should set those feelings aside and give it a shot. Keep an eye out for the Flash Deals and Community Deals, because they may still show us something that we haven’t seen yet.
