Journal #001

January 1st, 2013

The new year is here, and so is the Indie 500 Project. I’ve really been looking forward to this, there are so many games that I’ve been keeping myself from trying, just so that I can play them during this experiment.

I never did get to play Batman: Arkham City, too much work and life came in the way and I wouldn’t have been able to finish the game on time. Instead I somewhat stressfully ended up sitting down on new years eve for a session of Borderlands 2. I had been saving the final section of that game in case I would have any spare time left before the new year, as I thought it was a great game but not something I thought I needed to finish. It fit quite nicely, I had about 3 hours to do 2 hours of gameplay. I rushed it a bit, but had a good time.

Right now I’m clicking through all the great titles I want to try out, and the new year it looking pretty good. The Steam Winter Sale is beating my wallet into submission, as expected, but some really great deals have been offered. I’m gonna try out some things and just play around, then we’ll start getting some reviews and notes up in here really soon.

Aside from gaming, I’m joining the second edition of the 10.000 push-up challenge, which means doing a total of ten thousand push-ups over the course of 31 days. It adds up to 323 push-ups per day. I’m thinking 20 every half-hour of the workday, plus change. Other than that I’ll be going to Stockholm for the weekend for some video-work, nothing related to this site.

Let’s get this year done right! Happy gaming, everybody!
