Steam Summer Getaway Sale: Day 10
Active: July 11th, 2013 – July 22nd, 2013
As with every summer there comes a time when you’re supposed to spend your money on ice cream and vacation-stuff but find yourself at the mercy of a greater power. This year is no different, as the Steam Summer Sale is here, title Summer Getaway Sale.
This year the meta-game is card-collecting, which has been a thing on Steam for a short while. To boost your card-library through other means than actually playing a bunch of games you can just pick up cards by making selected purchases from the daily offers.
The Daily Deals will stand for 24 hours, CET 19:00 – 19:00, but the offers stand for 48h, so you get two days to take advantage of the offer. But there’s also the Community’s Choice, which circulates every eight hours. Why the name? Because the community gets to pick which title the deal is going to include. By voting on one of three titles in the Community’s Choice box you get to help decide which of the listed games get the listed discount. Simple, yeah? There’s also a chance that you’ll win some Trading Cards as a bonus, so make sure you vote every 8 hours. Along with that you also get Flash Deals that change every 8h as well.
Check back every day for the new deals.
Day 10 Deals:
- Prison Architect
- Starforge Alpha
- Saints Row The Third
- Omerta: City of Gangsters
- Natural Selection II
- Assassin’s Creed III
- Worms Revolution
- Counter Striker: Global Offensive
- Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
Prison Architect is a game we can’t wait to play. However, Introversion Software only has an alpha out so far and the title being sold is Early Access, which we (sadly) won’t play; only released titles. The second title, Starforge Alpha, is also Early Access, so we strike out there as well. Then we have Natural Selection II, a hybrid between RTS and FPS, where the latter plays the biggest role for most players, that pits marines against aliens. It’s a whole lot of fun when you get in to it, but the active pool of players may make you feel like you don’t have a chance; keep at it though =)
